Northern Apex has decades of experience using a variety of auto-ID technologies including passive and active RFID, Barcode, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and many more when desiging custom systems that allow our customers to automatically track their assets with minimal human intervention. If an item, such as a computer or tool is being used by a person within the organization, auto-id technologies can give you a quick and accurate way to inventory a room, determine where an item is located, or if the item is returned and there is damage to it, it can give you insight into who was the last person that used the item.
Using the basic components of an RFID System is possible to both capture data about an asset as it moves through your environment and record and attach detailed item specific information to the item itself.
Write specific details at the item, box or pallet level like completed processes that the asset has moved through; lot and serial number; facility and location data; distributor information; users that have interreacted with the asset; and any other data that is important to your process.
Automatically read that information with little to no human intervention using antennas/readers and deliver the real-time data to operators or managers at critical points in your process to improve efficiency and reduce waste in labor, lost or missing components, scrap and waste.
